My name is Patricia Hölscher, I’m 22 years old, and I’m graduating in industrial engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in the fall. In addition to my engineering focus, I am interested in the topic of digitization from a social, economic, and technical perspective. It is important to me to stimulate discussions about the opportunities of digitization, as well as to identify and address challenges.
I am 21 years old and studied mathematics and computer science at École Polytechnique in France. I have worked on homomorphic encryption in machine learning applications, as well as multi-party computation for anonymous face recognition in video surveillance systems. I have organized several events at the Studienstiftung, and am also involved in digitization here.
My name is Simon Lübke, I am 24 years old, and I am studying Economics in my last semester at the University of Cologne. I am particularly fascinated by the field of behavioral economics and business ethics. I have already organized several events within the Studienstiftung and with various student initiatives and have experience in all aspects of event planning.
As a Master’s student in “Technology Policy” at Cambridge University in England, I deal with interfaces between technology, politics and society, especially data policy in China and the EU. In addition to working in university research for many years, I have already gained practical experience at two international cloud service providers, as well as in cybersecurity advisory. In my spare time, you can often find me at workshops, seminars and conferences – as a co-organizer or enthusiastic learner.
Society and technology have to be thought together! That’s why I (23) double major in computer science and sociology (political science minor).
When I’m not initiating new projects a bit too enthusiastically, I’m learning Korean, participating in science slams or creating videos on my YouTube channel. Other projects include a start-up for vegan camembert and a YouTube dating show for political positions.
I am Alea, 21 years old and I study mathematics with chemistry and sustainable development at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
My name is (also) Simon, I’m 21 years old and I’m currently studying Business Informatics at TUM. I am particularly interested in the social scientific reflection on technological developments. In my opinion, it is an important building block for using innovations beneficially. Outside of my studies, I can be found either among friends, at lectures or on a field hockey pitch.
